Trail cam photo sorting · Miles City, Montana

Your wildlife photos.
Sorted. Tagged. Handled.

Send me your cards or drives. You get back every photo filed by species, empty frames pulled to a review folder, Lightroom-ready keywords, and a clean report of what walked past your cameras.

  • Originals never modified
  • Processed offline
  • Never shared or sold

The problem

Thousands of photos. Mostly grass and wind.

A few cameras over a season can fill cards with tens of thousands of frames. Most are empty, triggered by wind, sun or a blowing branch. The bull you're hoping for is buried somewhere in the middle, and sorting by hand eats nights you don't have.

How it works

Four steps. You only do the first two.

  1. 1

    Pull your trail cam cards

Swap in fresh cards and grab the full ones. No sorting on your end.

  2. 2

    Mail them in

Prepaid padded mailer, tracked both ways. $12 flat, round trip.

  3. 3

We sort and tag every photo

Every frame filed by species, date and camera. Empties go to review, never the trash.

  4. 4

    Get your organized record back

Sorted folders plus your Property Wildlife Record, with cards returned untouched.

Every file is fingerprinted (SHA-256) before and after copying, and your cards come back with a written receipt. Rather not mail? Drop off in Miles City or share a Drive link.

What you get

A library you can actually use.

Built for western country: elk, mule deer, whitetail and the rest of what shows up on eastern Montana ground.

  • Species folders. Elk in the elk folder, mule deer in the mule deer folder.
  • Empties culled, not deleted. Wind-and-grass frames go to a review folder.
  • Lightroom-ready keywords. Searchable the moment you import.
  • Species counts and trends. By camera, month and time of day.
  • Landowner report. A clean, professional summary you can hand over (Outfitter / Ranch package).
  • Intake receipt. Proof your files came back exactly as they went in.

Free ID Trial

See it work on your own photos, free.

One trial per outfit. Up to 25 photos, IDs only, so you can see the sorting before you send a season's worth.

  1. 1

    Request a code

Fill out the short form. I review every request myself and email you a one-time code (format HG-XXXX-XXXX) from huntgatherimages@gmail.com, usually within 1 business day. One trial per outfit and per email.

  2. 2

    Upload up to 25 JPGs

Use your code on the upload page. Each code works once, for up to 25 photos, and expires 7 days after it's sent. Trial results are species IDs only (no culling, folders or reports).

  3. 3

    Get your results page

Within 1–2 days you get a results page showing each photo's species and a confidence level. Trial photos are deleted after 30 days.

  • Season-over-season comparison. See this year next to last year.
  • Highlight gallery. The best frames from each order, pulled forward.

FAQ

Straight answers

Are my photos private?

Yes. Your photos are never shared, sold or posted. Processing happens offline on my own machines, not in anybody's cloud. Photos showing people, vehicles or property locations stay private. You can have everything returned or deleted any time you ask, and a one-page written agreement covers it all.

Will you change my original files?

Never. I work only on copies. Every file is fingerprinted (SHA-256) before and after copying, and you get a written receipt showing they match.

How long does it take?

It depends on the size of the job. Small card dumps go quickly. Large drives take days of computer time and run in stages, with progress updates along the way. We'll talk timing on the call before you send anything.

What file types do you take?

RAW and JPG photos from your trail cams, on SD cards, USB sticks or external drives.

Do you sort videos?

Not yet. Videos are copied and kept safe with everything else, and they'll be processed once video sorting is ready.

What if the software isn't sure what an animal is?

It doesn't guess. Uncertain photos go to a review folder so a person can take a look.
